Grateful

Today we pause to say thanks to the Lord for all His blessings to our family. We are highly favored a.d loved!

The Year of the NEW

Each year, Pastor Gary Brothers of Cape First Church, Cape Girardeau, MO, gives a new prophetic word for the Cape First family. After he seeks the Lord for His direction, he shares what he feels the Lord has said to him for the body. This year, the prophetic word is taken from Isaiah 43:19, "For behold, I will do a NEW thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, [and] rivers in the desert. This will be the year of the new for all of us. The Lord will give us new opportunities to go, to do, and to be. The harvest is great, and the laborers are few. Get on board!

SOZO σῴζω from the Greek New Testament

Sozo- a word we don't often hear in our language, but one that was common in the New Testament. http://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=G4982&t=KJV;. The word at its root means to SAVE, HEAL, MAKE WHOLE. It is the word the Apostle Paul used in Ephesians 2:8-9 when he said, "For by grace are you SAVED, not of works, lest any man should boast." It is a word that implies action, but that action is not motivated or precipitated by us; but rather it is an action that was done in our behalf. An action that took place in the past, that is finished, but has current and future consequences to our lives. For we know that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, paid the ultimate price of His life, as His blood was poured out to redeem us and set us free. The action was in the past for He was "crucified, buried, and He rose again the third day." His obedience to death on the cross was the action that "saved, healed, and delivered us!" Those that are Christ's have been set free from the bondage of sin and death, and are living a life of freedom from sin, sickness, and disease. This was God's plan, and still is. We have to enter in to the sacrifice of Jesus by FAITH; for it is not an action we can take for ourselves. ARE YOU SAVED, DELIVERED, AND HEALED?" You can be TODAY! Confess your sins to HIM; admit that you can't save yourself and you NEED a Savior to set you free. Today is the day of SALVATION!
